Meet Elise
Elise Keitt lives in Indianapolis with her husband, Caleb. She loves cooking and reading historical fiction and spending time with her family and friends. She is currently teaching herself how to knit and crochet with the hopes of incorporating these new skills into her regular art practice.
With a background in Art History, she has a keen eye for art and design informed by generations of artists before her. She finds it essential to start learning about those that come before you to move forward and create something new. She views art as a form of learning about the world around me and creating beauty with what she finds, with a major emphasis on details and patterns. Through focusing on color and how different shades interact with each other, she finds interesting and engaging color palettes that compliment the imagery.
Art helps her see the world's beauty, and she creates work that points others to that beauty. Her design work is also deeply rooted in nature, and she is often inspired to emulate different patterns and things she sees in nature.
